pond weed circle

I came out one morning (18^th July 2002) and found a little circle of pond weed (visible in lower right of picture) rotating about every 20 seconds. There's a small water current coming from behind the submerged pot, due to a bubbler. The circle disintegrated after about half an hour.

I also took a movie. Click on the picture to download the movie. It shows about half a rotation, about 10 seconds.

I didn't include the movie credits, so after you watch it, imagine majestic music, and the following scrolling by in a bold white font on a slightly flickering black screen.



    no possums were implicated in the filming of this movie.

   
 No aliens helped in any way.
