DT = Digital transmission channel
HD TV = High Definition Television
SD TV = Standard Definition Television
analog = old non-digital TV broadcast standard
1080i = picture has 540 lines of resolution interlaced to create 1,080 lines with up to 1920 pixels
720p = picture has 720 lines of resolution with up to 1280 pixels

Note: The physical over-the-air digital channel number is the actual channel being used for broadcasting the digital picture. Multiple Virtual channels can be digitally compressed into one physical digital transmission channel and they typically use the same number as the previous analog channel followed by the virtual channel number. Most HDTV sets recognize and display the virtual channel numbers. The PSIP data is added to the over-the-air broadcasts (Comcast strips off this information for cable TV transmission). The PSIP data includes the station call letters and an electronic program guide (EPG) including the current time and date.
