Web-weaving ... In the constant process of reinventing myself, I am a
never-married, middle-aged byke in a loving polyamorous relationship
with a man I met nearly a decade ago on the Internet. And enjoying assorted
crushes and flirtations as well.
I live in a charming, 92-year-old "rural vernacular" house in historic Albany, Oregon, with two very sheddy long-haired cats, Margarita and Mojito. In my "free" (hah!) time, I act, direct and design sets and stuff for various local theater companies - mostly Willamette Stage Co, these days. Theater is what I love to do. Work is what I have to do. I've been known to dabble in the decorative arts, from stamping, collage and mail art to book- and mask-making. But mostly, these days, I knit and work on learning more about photography with my trusty Nikon D80. I spend way too much time on-line; I keep an active LiveJournal, along with multiple blogs and a desultory FaceBook presence. Increasingly, I'm active on Google+. I'm fascinated less by the technology (although I can geek out with the best of them) than by the social and cultural implications of all this New Stuff. I'm especially interested in how girls and women fit into the mix. I enjoy:
