The world Peace Band Grew from
leader Michael Riley's desire to work for social change and enlightenment.
Using the Malagasy Kabosey, a native instrument of Madagascar,
Riley has written several new songs that challenge the listener to examine
life in these tumultuous times from a compassionate and wise
perspective. Songs like Walk like a sheep and
Clever lie hit hard at American complacency while
Live a Little
and
While the Baby is Sleeping
show a positive view of modern life. In concert, The World Peace
Band will also cover songs by Marvin Gaye, Jimmy Cliff, and others
providing a very danceable and enlightening show |
