When we first decided to embark on this journey, we wanted to blaze our own path across the country.  And then we thought, "Why re-invent the wheel?"  As we follow the well traveled path mapped out by the Adventure Cycling Association, we will experience our own adventures.  By traveling along these routes, we join the community of cyclists who share memories, adventures and experiences.

We recently received our maps of the southern tier (from Florida to California)  in the mail and we were elated.  These maps are fantastic! They contain everything a cyclist would need - detailed map sections with directions in both the west and east traveling direction and distances in both miles and kilometers (as we discovered after having accidentally calculated our distances in kilometers and nearly had a heart attack!)  The maps also contain vital information such as bike shop locations and contact information, places to stock up, and camping information.  They're waterproof and fold up nicely to fit in your jersey pocket.

Additionally, by promoting the cycling route established by the Adventure Cycling Association, we hope to bring awareness to the need for well-established, safe bike touring routes.  This organization brings its passion about cycling to people who wish experience the country by bike.  We hope that you can support the Adventure Cycling Association and the great service they provide to the cycling community.
